Dear OpenTESOL friends,

You are cordially invited to participate in The 11th OpenTESOL International Hybrid Conference 2023.

With this year’s theme on “Innovating Pedagogy and Technology for Language Education”, we are delighted to receive overwhelming proposals on the application of emerging AI tools, e.g. Chat GPT, in teaching language skills. Among them, the discussion of the AI literacy of the teachers and how different novice and experienced teachers of English perceive the use of AI in their classroom are highlighted.

More importantly, the essential topics of TESOL: learning autonomy, learners’ anxiety, language assessment, and textbook usage, are also revisited with new perspectives and new insights amid the influence of technology in language classrooms. How could we, as teachers, motivate students to learn? Are the applying pedagogies suitable for our teaching context? What is needed and what should be reconsidered?

Why don’t you join us and have more contributing discussions on such concerns to better support the learners and elevate your professional development at OpenTESOL 2023?
