We are delighted to announce that the Call for Abstracts for the 13th OpenTESOL International Hybrid Conference 2025 is now open. This year’s conference will be held both online and onsite on 24 – 25 May 2025 in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. OpenTESOL 2025 conference is dedicated to explore the multifaceted nature of language education, emphasizing the importance of diversity, learner agency, and personal growth. By fostering intercultural understanding and critical thinking, we aim to empower language learners and educators alike.
Co-organized by The Graduate School and Faculty of Foreign Languages, Ho Chi Minh City Open University, Vietnam, OpenTESOL 2025 is proud to be an important venue for all participants’ continuous professional development.

Online:
Online participants are invited to attend the conference free of charge, but if you wish to obtain the certificate of participation, please refer to the following information
- ​Vietnamese participant: 200,000 VND
- Vietnamese presenter: 400,000 VND
- Overseas participant: 10 USD
- Overseas presenter: 30 USD
- No refund
Onsite*:
- ​Vietnamese presenter/participant (before 16 April 2025): 500,000 VND
- ​Vietnamese presenter/participant: 600,000 VND
- Overseas presenter/participant (before 16 April 2025): 50 USD
- Overseas presenter/participant: 60 USD
- HCMC OU Postgraduate and Undergraduate: 300,000VND
- No refund
*The on-site registration fee includes a print certificate, tea-break refreshments, and lunch.
Conference Proceedings Fees (Optional)
Please note that if presenters’ full papers are successfully peer-reviewed, the presenters should pay an extra fee for inclusion in the conference proceedings.

Presentation & participation mode: Speakers will decide whether they will deliver their session in real time via Zoom or on-site at Ho Chi Minh City Open University, Vietnam.

CONFERENCE PROCEEDINGS
After the presenters are informed of their accepted abstracts, they can prepare and submit the full papers for consideration in the conference proceedings (with an ISBN) by 16 April 2025. The full paper must be around 3000 words (excluding the title, references, and appendices). More details regarding the conference proceedings procedure will be updated soon.
